Ken & Emily have been together for a decade and decided they wanted to elope while they were on a family holiday in New Zealand. They flew over from Canberra with their two kids and Emily’s parents. I met their family for a mini shoot after their registry wedding and then got the chance to steal Ken and Emily away later that day for a sunset session. Wellington put on a show for them and we got the most spectacular sunset that night.
Cristen and Noah recently got engaged and found me through Instagram after seeing an engagement shoot I had shot earlier this year at Makara beach. They moved from the US where the closest beach was 6 hours drive away and decided they wanted photos on the beautiful Wellington coast. Oh boy, we got lucky with the weather! I had so much fun and couldn't stop smiling while shooting this LOVED up couple.
Marge & Blake got in touch with me about their wedding next year and I could just tell by their email that they were a fun, laid back couple. When I suggested Makara for their engagement shoot, they said "yes" straight away and even on the day when I gave them a chance to postpone due to the gale force winds, they were still up for the adventure. I knew then I was so lucky to have such a fun and outgoing couple. They walked through sea spray, gale northerly winds and muddy steep hills (Marge in ankle boots) with a smile on their face they whole time. It was infectious.
